Winter Wonderland Angel’s Market
It’s hard to beat Winter Wonderland in London. The market is free to enter and you can happily browse the 200 fairy-lit Bavarian style wooden chalets of the Angel’s Market. With a great selection of gifts for friends and family from jewellery and clothing to handmade crafts and Christmas decorations. The market is open during the day but for any Christmas lover you’ll have to check it out at night too as the site is breathtaking all lit up. You can also buy tickets to ice skate around the pavilion in Hyde Park and to see the many new shows, including the Magical Ice Kingdom, Peter Pan on Ice, The Snowman Experience and ice sculpting workshops. Open 10am-10pm until 6th January 2019 (except Christmas Day).
Christmas by the River at London Bridge City
London Bridge City has welcomed back the iconic Christmas by the River – it has 68 chalet-style stalls selling gifts, food and drink, with impressive sites of the beautiful backdrop of Tower Bridge. The market is one of London’s most picturesque Christmas markets – frosted cabins and twinkling fairy lights to really get you into the Christmas spirit. Throughout December, the market host events and workshops from food and drink tastings to arts and crafts and storytelling. Running until 2nd January 2019 from 11am-10pm.
Christmas in Leicester Square
London’s home of entertainment since 1670 – Leicester Square is simply buzzing with high energy entertainment and events, as well as an European-style Christmas Market. The central gardens are transformed into a festive pop-up market with over 25 stalls, including an exciting lineup of shows all performed in a beautiful 1920s Belgian Spiegeltent. Running until 5th January 2019.
Camden Market takes over Christmas
London’s iconic Camden Market has an unique Christmas takeover as it welcomes Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop, hourly snow flurries, jazz carols and more than 1,000 vendors with food, drink, lifestyle and entertainment stalls. There is also Christmas craft workshops, traditional fairground games and local choirs, brass bands and Roundhouse resident acts popping up around the market throughout December. Santa’s Gingerbread Workshop (£15 per child) is an ‘out of the world’ Christmas Grotto experience where your little ones can join the elves in the workshop making toys and preparing Santa’s favourite gingerbread, before meeting Santa. Running until 23rd December.
Greenwich Market at Christmas
Greenwich Market is a place that is great place all year round, but with the addition of sparkling Christmas lights, mulled wine, Santa’s grotto and the Late Night Wednesdays Arts & Crafts Gift Market, it is a destination that you don’t want to miss throughout December. There are around 120 stalls with festive music, delicious mulled wine and yummy street food.
